Overview

Cannes Lions is one of the most high-profile stages in the advertising world, and in 2026, Yieldmo was on it. With the launch of YMax on the horizon, the three months leading up to the event became an opportunity to build real momentum. Motion graphics moved to the center of the strategy, with a steady stream of social content designed to introduce YMax to the industry, generate excitement around Yieldmo's presence at Cannes, and show what the brand looked like in motion.

What started as pre-event hype evolved into a full campaign arc, with brand social, event presence, and post-event video coverage all working together to tell one cohesive story. This page captures that journey from the first asset to the final cut.

Impact

The shift toward motion-first content made a measurable difference. By incorporating more motion graphics into the Cannes Lions social campaign, the team saw improved engagement over the prior year's coverage, proving that a more dynamic, visually driven approach resonated with the audience in a way that static content alone couldn't. Beyond the numbers, the campaign gave YMax its first real moment in the spotlight, introducing the brand to one of the most influential audiences in adtech at exactly the right time.

Building the Hype: A Postcard from Cannes

Rather than leaning on standard event promotion, Yieldmo's pre-event social campaign was built around a different take from the world of ad tech: a love letter to Cannes. A series of social assets styled as vintage postcards, maps, torn scrapbook pages, and letters mixed alongside Yieldmo's vibrant colors gave the campaign a warmth and charm that stood out in a feed full of adtech noise. The result was a social presence that felt less like a marketing campaign and more like a dispatch from somewhere worth being.

On the Ground at Cannes

When Yieldmo arrived at Cannes Lions 2026, the brand needed to show up with the same intention that had been building across social for three months. I designed several static screens for the event itself, three for a dedicated meeting area and one for a speaking engagement, giving the YMax brand a polished and consistent presence across every touchpoint on the ground.

The promotional posters I designed for the event extended that presence further, displaying the YMax brand and taglines across one of advertising's most high-profile venues. Together the screens and posters ensured that anyone who encountered Yieldmo at Cannes experienced a brand that felt cohesive, considered, and ready for the stage it was standing on.

Creative that Connects

Creative that Connects is Yieldmo's recurring video series where members of the team discuss what's happening in adtech and how it relates to creative. I worked on 8 episodes in total, designing a branded intro and outro, transition scenes, and editing the raw footage into polished, publish-ready cuts. The series picked up naturally around Cannes Lions, culminating in a recap episode that gave the team a chance to reflect on one of adtech's biggest moments of the year.

That's a Wrap on Cannes Lions 2026

After the event wrapped, the work wasn't over. Raw footage from the floor, including event highlights, behind the scenes moments, and interviews, was edited down into a 90 second recap that captured what Yieldmo's time at Cannes actually looked and felt like. The tone was energetic but unhurried, reflecting a brand that had a great event and wasn't afraid to show it.

Cut for YouTube and LinkedIn in widescreen format, the video served as the final chapter of the campaign, giving the content a satisfying close and extending the life of the event well beyond the days spent in Cannes. For anyone who had followed along from the first postcard asset to the last day on the ground, it was the payoff the story had been building toward.
